Theorem of Slow Heat

Given metal remembers only applied gradients,

rust indexes the absent kiln like a ledger,

porcelain holds a ghost of molten patience,

graphite traces the seam where wax miscounts,

a mercury mirror keeps one tidy, forgetful reflection.
